This is a Vaultex UB104 Full Body Harness paired with a Twin Webbing Lanyard featuring a shock absorber. This combination is a standard personal protective equipment (PPE) setup for fall arrest when working at heights, such as in construction, telecommunications, or tower climbing.

1. CORE COMPONENTS OF THE HARNESS

• WEBBING: The primary framework of the harness, usually made of durable polyester or nylon designed to absorb and spread fall impact forces.
• D-RINGS: Critical metal attachment points made of forged alloy steel.
  • DORSAL D-RING: Located on the back between the shoulder blades; this is the only attachment point for fall arrest.
  • CHEST (STERNAL) D-RINGS: Used for ladder climbing systems or certain work positioning tasks.
  • LATERAL (SIDE) D-RINGS: Located on the hips for work positioning only (e.g., leaning back while working with both hands).
